That’s exactly the sort of thing I was hoping someone would have done. Thanks for sharing!

What an arrogant, ableist thing to say. I hope you're not involved in recruitment. The world has changed. Location is not the barrier it was five years ago.

Location isn't. Verification that you aren't a North Korea agent or just plain fraud is.

Mostly the latter but still. What some people on this thread don’t get is that unless you’re a known industry luminary, companies are not going to accommodate odd preferences without a legit reason like a physical disability. The resume probably won’t even make it out of HR. One key is both the company and candidate making requirements like travel clear up front. Saves everyone a lot of time.

Yep. And all on the same IP addresses with the same registrars and DNS servers. Amazing coincidence. (Edit: it's Netlify)

5 stars on Trustpilot. Yeah? Your site doesn’t exist on Trustpilot.

That makes me think this is a trustworthy product and not at all shady.

30% retention means that 70% of people who have paid for it didn't consider it valuable enough to pay for.

The $2m figure is unverified but, even if it was, turnover is meaningless without knowing their expenses. If they're burning through £2.1m in LLM compute and marketing then they're losing money.

Plus, the guy seems like a dick so I'm taking his story with an enormous pinch of salt.

It's almost as if people are reading the article and critically evaluating the product.

Writing prose instead of code. Started a Ghost powered newsletter mainly focusing on AI and retro computing. Aiming to be a lightweight general read, not heavy technical stuff. Had a bit of success with a couple of articles posted to HN before.

Author here. I definitely wrote it myself. As another commentator says, this is an accessibility thing. Individual images have alt tags but the Ghost gallery component didn't have an easy way to add those.

The accumulation of money and power. Same as it ever was.

It's clearly a different username on the 8 year old report.
