Is this part of a bigger swell of anti-technology sentiment or strictly about homes? I wonder if there is starting to be a backlash against being tied to a device, being recorded on the street, and after all that, the people behind it are now rich and taking over large homes in SF.
Interestingly, the more tech-savvy folks seem to be less caught up in their devices than those who still see it as a bit of a novelty. At dinner in the midwest the other night, the table next to ours was 40-somethings who kept taking cell-phone selfies while the 20-somethings at other tables were just chatting with each other.
