Rising inequality is sometimes emergent from how we design the economy [0], even when there are literally no differences between the actors involved. (Neither in merit or motivation, nor in acts of greed or villainy.)

So while we can talk about the influence of money on politics etc, fixing that is likely... necessary but not sufficient.
