It’s really showing the real picture of all the aid agencies. They aim for your money. That’s the single purpose. Because they can’t provide photo documentation of they work on the site where apparently the aid happened. So sad. And many people fall for this scam.

There might be some like that, but not all. You can't paint with such an all-or-nothing brush. Be specific about the organizations you think are a "scam" and are only after "your money."

You're putting too much faith in "photo documentation." A lot of stuff can't, or can't practically be documented with photos. I'd say the benefits of aid are one of those things. A picture of people distributing food from a truck? Could be a staged photo-op. And there's the issue of "poverty porn," where you take photos of someone's miserable situation so some better off people can gawk and judge.

What reason did you have to write that? The focus you put on "taking your money" in combination with "scam" suggest you think the aid is not real, or not merited.

I was growing up in a third world country back then and saw how this aid was provided. Endless corruption locally. On the giving side it looked of course nice.

I know a woman in Germany who brings aid in person to the ones in need. I donate laptops and parts occasionally. But it is not scalable. She observes every case in person.

Collecting money to use for providing aid is their stated purpose. When they provide aid, they are aiming for your money and it’s not a “scam”, both things can be true.

It’s true, governments should have much more responsibility to provide aid internally and internationally so haphazard charity isn’t required for humans to take care of one another.
