I have yet to move into the woods but, given my current levels of burnout, I think such a proposition is highly underrated. What's wrong with moving into the woods?
Wait, if everyone moves into the woods there will be no more woods that offer seclusion. Yeah moving into the woods is awful! I hope she doesn't burn out!
One option could be to get a hammock and go program in a tree. That’s sort of like moving to the woods, but you don’t have to live there full time and you still get to program.
how would you know for sure? I don't have the skill to evaluate somebody who has disproved one conjecture (maybe some recent techniques made it easier?) versus somebody who had an established pattern of doing excellent work.
no, he's saying Kacyznski is not on the level of Hannah Cairo. If he meant Grothendieck, that's another conversation. Reading the context of this subthread, it should be clear we're discussing Kacyznski vs. Cairo.
I don't have the knowledge to evaluate this, but I still think Cairo has not esta blished enough work to say she's far ahead of Kacyznski.
thanks for the clarification, I also dont have the ability to evaluate who is better kacyznski v cairo. hence why i assumed the original commenter meant kaczynski vs grothendieck because for one kacyznski has a phd in maths, cairo does not have that metal yet
