I haven't tested this and the timing (1st of April...) does seem somewhat suspect. I still remember the 2007-ish (?) MySQL compatibility for PostgreSQL prank and I'm still bummed about it...

It isn't a prank. I've just tested it, and it works well. The project has been quite active recently.
