He likely knows better, so that makes me wonder why he would say this.


I would think he knew better than to have an executive PR faux pas many years ago.

After almost as many years of having his cost of content being close to zero and it being so deeply ingrained in how things developed, this would be the result of a more focused effort and the outcome has been huge not just from his own point of view.

After a while it would be hard for the pride in that kind of thing not to show through.


He needs to justify not adequately compensating musicians for the use of their works.


The fact that he is (probably) referring to music as “content” is telling.
