Which is correct: "troubleshooted" or "troubleshot"? (english.stackexchange.com)

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but troubleshoot already has an object 'trouble'. If you are engaged in duckshooting you didn't duckshoot anything, you shot a duck. So it should be "I shot the trouble". Let me know how you get on with that.


Or "dogfooded" versus "dogfed"?
