I have a Lenovo X1 running Windows and it dies after a day or so of sleep too, sometimes sooner. As the other poster says, I think this is mostly due to modern chipsets getting rid of S3 and having "modern standby" instead.


Had this happen on my T14. I switched the sleep BIOS setting to Linux to bring back S3 sleep in Windows and stop using modern standby.


For what it's worth, the latest ThinkPads don't have S3 as an option in the BIOS anymore.


Good to know, I have a first gen, I'll keep that in mind when I need to upgrade
