In my defense, I was more respectful than that.
Also, the "we should use real technology" was my response at Time Magazine, not at Google.

Server-side javascript (isomorphic javascript) is stupid.
At least try to use typescript or something.
The interviewer clearly agreed with me.
Problem is it was above their pay grade as well.
