I usually use Racket in Emacs, but the IDE is interesting and this is a good update: “Pressing <SHIFT>-return in DrRacket’s interactions window makes it easier to edit and enter expressions without sending them to be evaluated.”

Personally I have been looking more at Racket (and to some degree, Chez Scheme) as a daily Lisp language driver. I have been mostly Lisp’ing in Common Lisp since 1982, but except for working on new versions of my Common Lisp book [1], I am thinking of not renewing my maintenance plan for LispWorks (which is a fantastic tool) and instead choose one Scheme and use SBCL Common Lisp. I work for a Common Lisp based company, but I no longer do any programming for them.

Racket version 8.8 is now available from https://racket-lang.org/

(Racket is a fast modern lisp supporting general purpose programming and programming language design and implementation.)
