that makes it sound like the red tape to change a tax break could be "fixed" in 3 days... the idea that Musk makes a statement and 3 days later a large government changes something sounds very co-incidental... Not saying his statement didnt help push them towards it, but it does sound like it was already in the works...
Unclear whether they just did this anyway as a reward, to create a muddy troll, or what. But an investor newsletter claims he spoke of a call with Russian leadership around the time he tweeted his Ukraine peace note as well.
It is more likely that there was some discussion over time. Then Musk did his part of the deal, followed by China doing their part of the deal 3 days later.
The U.S. fails to build a bridge for pedestrians across a river in three years. The money is there. The workers are there. They have the time. But the effort fails continuously.
I suggest it takes no more than an email or phone call from the upper echelon of the CCP to move ANY matter (tax or otherwise) along in China where refusal means disappearing.
