It took me longer than I'd like to admit to realise the author meant "repeating digits" when they said "consecutive digits" - I was scouring the examples for "1234" etc.

This is a neat idea!



I was also confused. I think the author is confusing the two words.


That or 'consecutive digits that are the same', i.e. 'four consecutive 1s' would've made sense, it's just mis-generalised to 'digits'.

If anything it's the 'sequential' implication of 'consecutive digits' (that I agree the phrase has) that's weird IMO.
