Solana has some interesting tech but it ignored many good blockchain engineering lessons learned in the satoshi-client fork days. You don’t need 500ms blocks. That’s way too fragile. 1-2 sec is fine and allows for proper global block propagation, still requiring dedicated paths no less. 500ms block time to every node is never going to work scale to internet.
