The USPS website was surprisingly snappy and simple. Anyone know how the gov managed to not screw it up like the obamacare site? Perhaps the United State Digital Service helped?

The USPS website gradually evolved to support a legacy service which didn't depend on the website, it wasn't hastily assembled as a central dependency of a massive new program with many other linked equally critical supporting pieces (including largely unanticipated needs resulting from active sabotage of the policy), and it wasn't the public portal through which failures in all those other new critical pieces were surfaced.
