Which I would not have noticed except for the fact that two of the first few forums I looked at had "Leftist" in the description despite having ostensibly nothing to do with politics

If you get what you're looking for, then who cares, just want to be clear it's not a unfettered discussion group. The same way as if someone invited you to meet a really cool group of friends and you ended up at a bible study.
