Bit of a false dichotomy don't you think? Surely a 'incredibly simple coding problem' is different than whiteboarding leetcode. Perhaps your questions aren't enough?


Not necessarily. Leetcode problems go from “just iterate over the collection collecting some data as you go” to “Knuth solved this once and thankfully he wrote it down in a book for us mortals”.

Maybe part of the problem with these threads is that posters don’t clarify exactly what they’re complaining about.
