Recap of the tweet: "I heard that cant is fashionable and can even score you social and professional points. Allow me to jump on the virtual signalling bandwagon and help kick a fallen guy over a passage written years ago I'll quote out of context to show how horrible he is. Ain't I a great and caring person? Ain't I model of 21st century 'concerned' SV citizen?".

> I’m biased, because I know Antonio Garcia-Martinez and something like the same thing once happened to me

Glad he opened with this!

What game? Paul Graham has said exactly what he thinks for more than 20 years, and he does not succumb to every new moral fad.

Contrast this with the 200000/year corporate devs, who pretend to be woke and inclusive but on closer examination just follow the 48 laws of power. Who is playing games here and who are the hypocrites?

As for attacking someone for moderately daring content in a work of literature: I hope this person will be shielded from "patriarchs" like Shakespeare.

That tweet thread achieved an impressive amount of mind reading from a single source tweet.

>And in contrast, he invokes the worst thing he can think of: hurting someone's livelihood.

>Livelehood: a means of supporting one's existence, especially financially or vocationally

Just a small thing.

If you can't tell a story without including unrelated meme gifs in every 2nd tweet, maybe realise you're not able to tell a story well or the story itself isn't good.

What's worse is this guy describes himself as a writer - FFS! This tweet storm is in the realm of "how do you do, fellow kids".
