I'm thinking of picking up maintenance of the SBCL port for FreeBSD, as I use SBCL myself and I'm switching to FreeBSD for both personal and professional use.

Is anyone here a FreeBSD port maintainer? I'd love to hear first-hand what it's like working on the project - expectations, culture, workload, that sort of thing.
