It doesn't work in Firefox unfortunately. Spotify app just renders grey rectangle. It works in Chrome/Brave though. Just another example of "we only test in Chrome"/"works best in Chrome".

There is nothing original in Dept Q. It's British adaptation of Danish book and TV show.

Fair. Everything is an adaption of some IP somewhere. I think the most interesting job now is cranking out self published books hoping to get adapted, but not well known to US audiences and was highly rated by critics was my point

That is true*, but the Netflix series is exceptionally well done. Much better than the average Netflix show.

* More precisely it's Scottish/American

2 days ago they had outage that affected Europe, Cloudflare seems to be going down the drain. I removed it for my personal sites.

Down for me in Serbia (Europe).

I can't load their dashboard and I can't access my site. It says "SSL handshake failed" but my web server has valid certificate and it's up.

Seems they have some issues again and of course nothing on their status page.

Downdetector is down as well for me, so I unironically used https://downdetectorsdowndetector.com/. Which confirm it can be a geolocalized issue as it's all green

But 400..700ms latency are quite high, so this is maybe also a sign, that there a problem.

I'm a senior full-stack engineer with over 10 years of experience helping startups bring products to life. I can help you with frontend, backend, DevOps, building integrations, Shopify apps, Chrome extensions - you name it. My level of experience varies by area, but I’ve worked across the full stack.

>which had bidirectional data flow, and when one updated the store, it would trigger a change to the UI, which would change the state store, which would change the UI, etc.

You can hit the same problem with React. Circular state updates. State change->trigger useEffect->change state. I hit those when I had just started React.

You can, but it's harder, React will at least nudge you away from doing that.

You got it wrong, the purpose of this blog post is not marketing Claude Code, but marketing their company. Writing about AI just happens to get more eyeballs.

Second this. I use Linear as well and I didn't noticed anything close to "impossibly fast", it's faster than Jira for sure, but nothing spectacular.

If you get used to Jira, especially Ubisofts internally hosted Jira (which was in an oversubscribed 10yo server that was constantly thrashing and hosted half a world away) ... well, it's easy for things to feel "impossibly fast".

In fact in the Better Software Conference this year there were people discussing the fact that if you care about performance people think your software didn't actually do the work: because they're not used to useful things being snappy.

I had 2 grandparents die from Parkinson's and I would definitely pick up heroin addiction if I get diagnosed.

Should give weed a try first. For some it really helps

I've said this before, but I think that people over 80 should be allowed to legally purchase use any substance.

BUT to get immunity from prosecution they'd have to sign a notarised and confirmed Do Not Resuscitate order.

Call it the Blaze of Glory act or something =)

Not sure you need the Do Not Resuscitate order bit.

It’s there so that when Grandpa Steve does 15 lines of coke and smokes a full bong of premium weed and passes out he’s not taken to ER to take a spot from someone who needs it.

I guessed that but I doubt Grandpa Steve cluttering ER for a couple of hours from his coke overdoses would be a significant issue compared with his being at the hospital for several years with alzheimer's.

True, but zero is still better than a couple of hours.

The best, not sure, but it's sure the most saccharine job listing I’ve read in my whole life.
