Same, I think often about this image

+1 I really loved Stadia

I had a good connection and sometimes I forgot I was streaming a game.

At least the died gracefully, I played for free and also got a chromecast + controller out of the deal

> What is north of the north pole?

I really like this analogy for "what is outside of our universe", thank you

Not really. It’s not what’s outside of our universe. It’s why is there something instead of nothing.

It’d be like asking why is there a North Pole? Why is there an Earth to give meaning to a North Pole? Why is there a universe for the Earth to exist? And so on until you inevitably reach why is there something instead of nothing?

If you prefer a physical book, I can recommend: http://www.everymanslibrary.co.uk/classics-author.aspx?lette...

(Not affiliated, I just really like Everyman's Library)

> I think we have a pretty good idea that we are not stochastic parrots

what if we are?

and our brain is the "billion parameter model", continuously "trining", that takes input and spits out output

I understand we as a species might be reluctant to admit that we are just matter and our thinking/consciousness is just electricity flowing

btw, I'm not selling anything :)

The old Amarok was amazing. I still use Clementine to this day.

I just don't like the cover art manager, everything else is jut right for me.

I used to use Amarok. I switched to Quod Libet because its better for some genres - e.g. classical where I want to browse by composer, not performer.

Always nice to share: the Grim Fandango Puzzle Document (pdf): http://gameshelf.jmac.org/2008/11/13/GrimPuzzleDoc_small.pdf

Perfect example of the "Branch and Bottleneck".

It even includes similar graphics at the start of each act.

Sandman and American Gods are favorites of mine.

Very sad to see this.
