Congrats to you and your family :)

If you're taking requests, a filter by country would serve great. While I loved the concept and the way it's executed, I wish it becomes contextual for me.

Also, back button interaction closes the app. If you can fix that too.

All in all, loved the app. :D

To add another point, will it be feasible to have the meaning of the name in the details. Or a redirection to external link where meaning of the name can be searched?

Can you allow the user to download their own creation?

that is indeed planned. will try to do it today

done!

I am a long time user and this works like charm.

I genuinely loved the experience of the product. If the video is as great, I'm sure it will grow to next level.

Extra points for the game-like interaction. It was fun!

Thanks! Be sure to hit it up with some friends or colleagues to experience the full thing!

I just tried it but didn't like the experience. My reading speed is variable, I read slow when I want to internalize the idea v/s I skim through when I am probably reading a novel. At so many points I wanted to pause and re-read the para or think about what he said but listening to the audio didn't really allow for that. PG essays are usually of such kind.

I suspect I won't even enjoy audiobooks too for the same reason. I won't be able to accelerate or slow down at my will.

But I congratulate you for building it and I'm sure it'd be useful for others.

I had an identical experience.

Congratulations on building and launching SideNote. You should also checkout https://www.tuberslab.com/ which is a browser extension that does exactly what SideNote do.

The added benefit of using TubersLab is I don't have to take the YouTube video to new web app, I just get the ability right there.

Thanks for taking the time to look at it. Very cool link you shared, I didn't know about it. I also pondered if I should create this app as a browser extension of a standalone website.

I decided to go with a website, because it's easier for non-users to discover content: having to install a plugin or app on one's phone is one order of magnitude more effortful, and search engines can crawl this content but not what's trapped inside an extension or phone app.

Also, if I see more people using it, I'd like to extend to Spotify (as they expand into the realm of podcasts), and possibly audio-only with Libsyn and such.

Thanks!

Hey, great concept. Both Travel & TikTok are amazing concepts and you merged them so hopefully you'll get a great outcome. Best wished for that!

I tried the app on android but it seems to be loading very slow. My mobile network speed is 20Mbps so not the issue with bandwidth.

Another thing, I would appreciate if I could view content of/around a specific location. That would actually help me plan my trip.. Hope you find it relevant. Good work :)

I've been practising touch-typing for about 2 months now and have increased my speed from 15WPM to 35WPM, maintaining accuracy above 90%.

I learnt from https://www.ratatype.com/ but the modules are now done. This will become my practice board now. Parallelly I'll be reading/writing a few classics.

Interesting Project! There seems to be a bit of learning curve required to get handy with the tool. A better/simpler onboarding where I learn about the key concepts should be great. I will not master the product on Day-1 but I'll get some headstart. Related to the first point, I couldn't access the user guide from the main dashboard. I actually found them in the comments here and I think you should link it somewhere on the dashboard. Anyone interested will be able to go through it and learn more about the ways of doing things.

The product looks promising to me and I'll use it a bit more and would share any feedback I have.

Best wishes!

Thanks for the feedback :) The user guide was created for the iOS app, but we'll update it soon to look a bit more modern and so it applies for both the web app and iOS app. And like you said, it's a good idea to link to it from more places!
