I remember Hipmunk, it was horrible! Google flights is by far the best flight search platform, competition aren't even close. 10x faster search of flights and the calendar view for prices is incredible!

I consider Google Maps to be the best application ever created. Products like Google Mail, Calendar, Search, Chrome, Android are absolutely best in class. To call them inferior is laughable.

Why am I on Reddit

Based on my research, either Switzerland or London?

Even better, work remotely for a US company? Developer's salary in SF/NYC are unlike anywhere else in the world.

Neither of those is in the EU.

I'm looking into it, do you have any tips on how to?

I echo the know your worth and be ready to walk away if you aren't getting your worth.

I personally don't shy from mentioning rough base salary range first though it is against popular wisdom. I let the companies know this is my range for base and its flexible based on the offered equity. Because of the base + equity splits I can bend whichever lever companies are comfortable with.

Thanks for leaving feedback and the kind words.

I personally think Hey does have lot of neat ideas that they deserve credit for. Email management takes decent amount of effort in today's marketing/spam driven world. Gmail filters solve some of the issues but it's painful to create/update. It requires a strong discipline as you mentioned. This browser extension exists to simplify and make this a breeze.

As a business model, I think Hey will do fine -- as there are tons of people for whom 99$/year is a small sum to help ease this pain. With only 100K users, that's 10M ARR.

And congrats on setting up a clean Inbox!
