1) Every airline buys futures for oil, this is (one of) the points of the futures market.

2) If there is a market to hedge/speculate, it will exist. Maybe not 'fab futures' but there is definitely one.

For someone that kinda gets SEO this was a bit enlightening, thank you. I have nothing for myself to use this information but helps me understand.

The equivalent in IB (Investment Banking) is VP (Vice President)

Everyone is expected to be a VP, if not you move out. But you can stay VP forever.

You could just not set it up don't add your finger.

Yeah; but then the police will compel you to put your finger on the button + get pissed when it doesn't work.

In the United States, anything they beat out of you could be considered legally inadmissible evidence, and thrown out by the court.

(Whether or not that's a limit on law enforcement behavior depends on their particular aims.)

That is anxiety, you either teach yourself or there is medication if there is bad enough.

If it is just about saying 'no', read this book, it's helped a lot of people:

When I say no, I feel guilty Book by Manuel J. Smith

Is that all crime or violent crime?

When you look at the world as a action movie with good/bad guys, then you're going to have a pretty bad time.

There are only good/bad people for moments in time. Some are good for longer than others.

But I get it, anti-American sentiment is very popular right now.

How else do you suggest common folks are supposed to view world, or well anything?

Americans do the same, hence whole world got ttump. 95% of the world aint US, so such logic is even easier for almost whole mankind - is US force of good or evil? Different places would give you different answers, and most americans would not like the actual spread these days.

Do you understand that this news is not universally disliked and some people are happy to keep their subscriptions?

And this thread like most of reddit just becomes a hive-mind of me-too comments. Downvoting anything that goes against the common theme into [flagged].

I didn't downvote anyone here and I really only ever downvote outright spam or shitposting.

Yeah it's a "hive mind", a bunch of very technical people who actually kind of understand computers and the implications of OpenAI's actions don't like it. It's so "hive mind" for people who actually understand why something is bad to think it's bad. You're right to call that out because people should instead just have different opinions so they can be different.

I think if you read Plato's The Republic you might find that this is nothing new. Welcome to society and human nature.

>I'm sure this could have been massively helpful to a few kids in my high school, and probably de-stigmatizing for a few others. Certainly worth pissing off a few parents.

That's great, then they can go to the public library and read it. Hopefully a teacher or guidance counsler can recommend it. It doesn't mean the federal government needs to pay for it to be in a K-5 school.

>Hopefully a teacher or guidance counsler can recommend it.

Not according to this bill.

>...prohibiting use of funds under the act “to develop, implement, facilitate, host, or promote any program or activity for, or to provide or promote literature or other materials...

This isn't about funding.

It is about funding, that is the entire point of the bill.
