Lol yeah. That may appeal to everyone who directly understand what screencapture path means. But a "clickbait" title like this focuses directly on the feeling that many people get when they see their cluttery desktop. That was the intention of the title :)

Broken link!

Rule No.1: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Yep - Also the banks should have software in place for early detection of unusual activity of an account

Don't they already have software like this? The old scam where they say 'we have detected suspicious activity in your account' has to be based on something, right?

But yeah, it's pretty obvious that if anyone says you can 'get rich quick', then it's a con or something dodgy is involved in it.

In credit cards any transaction outside your regular pattern of transactions are immediately detected. So the detections may have been first reported by the banks.

Works for me...

Yeah looks like it's back now.

Is this your site?

The owner should consider creating a more visually telling site. Sure, it explains the steps but graphics that explain every step briefly in 1,2,3 would be much better.

Some examples of snail mails that you've sent would make it even better. I want to see what the "product" looks like (quality etc.)

Great post. I felt the same when I tested it!

User Onboard should review this site. Check them out if you haven't already (not my site) https://www.useronboard.com/

Probably my favorite site ever made (after Hacker News) haha.

The only thing I hate is that they are too slow to make new onboarding teardowns!

My favorite - how they criticize Apple Music's onboarding process: https://www.useronboard.com/how-applemusic-onboards-new-user...

That is rad, rad, rad to hear. It totally made my day.

Apple Music - yeah, and they/he/she didn't even't get to actually start using that weird app.

That's why it's a Show HN. I wanted feedback and BOOM! Now you gave me great feedback ;)

Will add that soon. That will make it much better!

That's how it is if you use full size "hero image" on Medium. I wish Medium would allow its users to add the title in the foreground of the image.

Love No. 4.

Me and my friend (both business students) tried to start a business with having the Business Plan as our first step. It went to hell.

Now we started with validating the idea - selling! It worked soooo much better. More people should try that instead!

Don't get sucked in to the all business plans aren't worth the paper they're written on parade.

Sure, a 200 page document that takes you six months to write that you work on to the exclusion of everything else? Yeah that's bad.

However a short few pages on the idea, the target market, some guesstimates on sales targets, expenditure and so on is a small piece of work that in my experience can be very useful.

It gives you a document to go back to as a bad line for progress. What is measured can be improved and all that jazz. Also, just taking the time to scope out your business, even at a high level, will make you think about areas of work that a founder might not otherwise consider until it's too late.

True. But what about a BMC instead of a 200 page business plan? Sure, it takes time to create a good BMC but man, they've helped me so much!

Actually, No. 4 may be the reason why so many startups fail or never make any profit at all for years before failing anyways. But don't mind me, business plans aren't cool.

I HATE business plans. BMC though, that's pretty useful :)
