Lately, I’ve been feeling burnt out using Upwork. The constant bidding wars, poorly written job posts, and unclear expectations make it harder to find quality work or hire the right talent.

I wanted something simpler—where clients are serious and freelancers don’t have to jump through hoops just to stand out. So, I’ve been working on Gigsicle, a platform focused on vetted job posts and direct connections.

It’s still early, but if you’ve been feeling the same frustrations, I’d love to hear your thoughts. What do you think could make freelance platforms better?

What was Upwork like before connects? I imagine it was difficult to control spam Job seekers?
