How do I get this to work? When I try to access the Assistant I just get the help page: https://help.kagi.com/kagi/ai/assistant.html

Are you outside the US?

Q: I can not access Assistant!

A: We are doing staged rollout beginning with USA, full rollout scheduled by Sunday, 23:59 UTC. This will include other regions and even the trial plan.

I missed that, thanks. I will try it on Sunday

Should be out globally today actually

Still not working. I am logged. I have free account

Still not working

You have to login first.

For some reason instead of redirecting you to login kagi.com/assistant redirects you to the wiki rather than a login page when you're not logged in.

It's right there in the article:

> An important note: We are enabling the Assistant for all users in phases, based on regions, starting with USA today. The full rollout for ‘Assistant for All’ is scheduled to be completed by Sunday, 23:59 UTC.

I missed that, thanks. I will try it on Sunday

Well in your defence, the HN title does say 'available to all users'

Good point - how would you word the title?

Kagi Assistants to become avalailable to all users this week.

I was also confused, the title is very misleading and US-centric.

Outside the US as well. You can get it to work now through a VPN. Not all models are available at the moment.

This seems like the experience of Jeremy Clarkson in Clarkson’s Farm. Many things against being a successful farmer resulting in practically zero profit.

But in the US at least your land is taxed at an agricultural rate rather than single family residential rate. There can be an enormous financial benefit to being a 'farmer'. Even if you ostensibly lose money at it.

I listened to an interesting interview with Peter Francopan on The Rest is History podcast https://linktr.ee/restishistory. Made me want to get the book. This review adds to my interest.

This is great! I have a Seiko Alpinist SARB017 that works exactly this way

Does this justify Pavel Tsatsouline's Grease the Groove?

Every elite athlete trains several times a day, most days of the week.

GTG maintains volume via high frequency and intensity via very low intensiveness (eg. any one set is never difficult).

This is great for people who have access to equipment yet don't have the time for one longer session. Otherwise there's nothing special with it.

This article discusses an interesting topic and is written in an engaging style. Nice find!

This is a cool idea, explained brilliantly. The rock-paper-scissors reference turned on a lightbulb for me.

1) possibly, but in Israel nearly all deaths are over 60 but most infections are not so maybe not so much 2) depends on the question: if you ask if you should get vaccinated or get covid, then yes. If you ask whether it’s as safe to be around a recovered as a vaccinated, then not really
