For a reprint from a newspaper there seems to be a lot of spelling mistakes…rally.

Perhaps they used OCR on the newspaper to generate the text.

Closure is awesome, but I wouldn’t define it as niche.

I’m a big fan of upptime. https://upptime.js.org/

Isn't this the one that (ab)uses GitHub Actions?

I’m also a fan of Bubble and have made a few dashboards and apps with it.

I’m listening to Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson right now, read by them. They are fantastic.

I am listening to The Path of Kings, I was put off by the length at first, but now I can't put it down. They are such good narrators.

A plug here, but we built an app around tracking Firebase usage and costs because there it a worry about getting a big monthly bill. Check it out at https://www.firerun.io

Canny.io doesn’t have a free tier for bootstrapping.

I didn’t realize it until now. Thank you.

First off, thank you for building and sharing with the community. I have built a few landing pages with React and always end up regretting because you always need a React developer to maintain. I think best to build the landing pages (about, homepage, faq, etc) in something a non tech person can use like Wordpress or at least Hugo (markdown). You don’t need to bring in a React developer when you want to add a new marketing section to the homepage.

I write about programming and recently about Firebase. You would want to read it if you use Firebase or are interested in learning about it.

I am working on a way to better track and gain transparency into your Firebase costs. The goal is prevent you from getting a surprise bill at the end of the month. I’ve started out with a daily and month end reports of your usage and costs. I’ve even been able to give cost metrics that aren’t in the Firebase console. Eventually will have a dashboard so you can dive into your historical costs and setup custom alert that are more fine grained than what google allows.
