I don't think this is a violation of any fundamental rights. They are spamming and therefore they were blocked. I don't really see the argument against Github wanting to maintain order.


But their not doing anything that's detrimental to others. How can you suppress this? I think this is an absolute violation of speech...


Your right to "free speech" is a constitutional right. In other words, the government can't pass a law or regulation that limits free speech. Now, not all "free speech" is considered constitutionally protected free speech but that's a separate issue entirely. GitHub is a business, it's a private institution. It's their site, they pay for it and they own it, so it's their legal right to do what they want with it. I really don't know the story behind this, so I don't really have a position on it, but that's just how the laws work in this situation. It wouldn't be a free speech rights issue. Plus, like most major sites, GitHub has a sole discretion clause in their ToS. Again, I'm not trying to weigh in on who's right or wrong, it's just how the laws work in these situations, right or wrong.
